City Seeks Community Input on Legion Park Improvements

The city is holding a meeting on Thursday at Fox Hill Gardens to solicit input from the public on Phase 2 of improvements at Legion Park.

Residents are invited to attend a community meeting Thursday night at the Fox Hill Gardens community room to provide input on Phase 2 of improvements to Legion Park.

“I am going to want to hear the community’s feedback on what they would like to have remain and what they would like to see changed and how we can make it more of a space that perhaps some of the older kids can use, too,” Mayor Dawn Zimmer said last April after the park's first phase of renovations were completed.

Phase 1 improvements for Legion Park, a pocket park for kids up to 12 years old that is located at 1225 Willow Avenue, included playground equipment and a safety surface.

Thursday's community meeting at Fox Hill Gardens, located at 311 13th Street, runs from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
