Road Closures Anticipated from 14th Street Viaduct Construction

Starting Tuesday, the westbound side of the 14th Street Viaduct will be closed on an intermittent basis.

The westbound side of the 14th Street Viaduct will be closed on an intermittent basis between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for the next two months starting Tuesday while JH Reid General Contractor works on the steel erection for the northern half of the proposed viaduct replacement.

Two detours will be implemented while the construction takes place: one on Willow Avenue (southbound) and Paterson Plank Road, and the other utilizing Willow Avenue (northbound), Paterson Plank Road and Palisade Avenue, according to a city statement.

Eastbound traffic along the 14th Street Viaduct will remain intact throughout the entirety of the construction.
