Road Repaving to Limit Parking, Traffic Access Across Town

Four Hoboken streets will undergo milling, paving and striping this week that is expected to limit parking and traffic access.

Road repaving work that's expected to hinder access to and from residences and businesses in all four corners of the city begins Tuesday and will continue through Thursday of this week.

Construction work begins Tuesday on 12th Street between Willow Avenue and Bloomfield Street, and Madison Street between 11th Street and 15th Street. On Wednesday, paving projects on Monroe Street between 3rd Street and 6th Street, and 4th Street between Hudson Street and Sinatra Drive are expected to kick in.

All projects should be complete by the end of Thursday, weather permitting.

In the mean time, there will be both parking and traffic restrictions while milling and paving takes place.

Residents should note the "No Parking" signs and construction detour signs posted along the roadways in the construction zones and are asked to move their vehicles from the areas where road work is occurring by 7 a.m. each day, as access to and from the residences and businesses in the construction zones will be limited until the end of the day.

Any schedule changes or updates will be posted on the city website as they become available.

The milling, paving and striping work is being jointly funded by the City of Hoboken and the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
